Dissecting Table - El Dorado Of Asvabhava (UPD)

A sort of best-of selection of tracks from the recent 2005-2006 CD-R releases, including picks from "Zettaizetsumei", "Day of Nemesis", "Non-Euclidean Geometry" and "Trial And Error". In-depth track notes and commentary by Stag Ejector of Mile 329. Limited to 100 copies (yes, this is a factory-pressed CD, not a CD-R).

(CD, oversized cardboard sleeve, 14.00 €, last copy)

Dissecting Table - Voice Performance (Witch House Records)

Re-release of an older album which featured three live tracks from a 2006 performance. These live pieces are massive walls of noise with metallic and vocal sounds drowned somewhere in the mix. The three other tracks are studio recordings and one of them is exclusive to this edition. Nicely presented in a red (or black) cloth case.

(CD-R, cardboard sleeve in a cloth case, 11.00 €, last copy)

Dove Yellow Swans - Live During War Crimes Vol. 2 (Release the Bats)

Label info: "The second volume, this time a collection of darker and more sinister live recordings taken from their tour in Europe early 2006. 42 black minutes of creepy soundscapes painting a depressive picture of a world going down in dust and ashes. The 5 songs all has a weird desperate and dense apocalyptic feel to them, making this a haunting and very bleak experience. Trashy dark rumblings and total coldness. Again very well-edited stuff by Pete Swanson, works more like a full proper album than just a collection of random recordings."

(CD, Dual Plover full color sleeve, 10.00 €)

Drape Excrement / Söldnergeist - Black Rider (Steinklang)

Finally some new (or rather unpublished until now) material from Art Konkret residents Drape Excrement and Söldnergeist. This collaboration album seems to put the emphasis on the first project's dynamic type of death industrial, but with an added heavy electronics touch by Söldnergeist. Heads above most of their peers. Artwork by Fabrice Billard, who heads the Divine Comedy label.

(CD, jewel case, 13.50 €)

Dronaement - Fuer Mur (Taalem)

Label info: "Dronæment should need no introduction as he has now gained a strong reputation in the ambient world thanks to some releases on various labels like Drone Records, Dachstuhl (Tarkatak's home), Afe or Mystery Sea (yes, again !). Marcus presents here two melancholic and nostalgic tracks, the first with softer sounds, based on the wonderful "Für Alina" by Arvo Pärt, the second (an older piece found on a long-lost tape) with some more aggressive sounds, full of analog synths. Two sides of Dronæment's beautiful music…"

Dusk of Hope - Flexible Response (Hermetique)

Long-delayed CD album from this French ambient noise project whose previous material includes a tape released years ago on Slaughter and some compilation appearances, including tracks on our own "Like Music to Their Ears Vol 1".
The artwork and sound both depict images of decay, ruins and of places still haunted by the ghosts of past and nameless conflicts. Tense and brooding at time, serene at others, but always executed with a purpose. Released on Propergol's home label, Hermetique.

(CD in DVD case with 4 inserts, 13.00 €)

Dvar - Rakhilim (Monopoly)

A personal favorite and definitely an acquired taste, Dvar is a mysterious Russian band that makes music ideally suited for drunken gnomes and overworked elves, complete with otherworldly vocals and cartoonish melodies. Hysterically joyful at times, desperately melancholic at others, Dvar is always completely off the charts in the best way possible and this is definitely one of their highest points so far.

(CD, clear jewel case, out of stock)

Dvar - Jraah Mraah (Gravitator Records)

The mysterious creatures of Dvar are back with a whole new repertoire of otherworldly songs and playful little ditties. Thankfully not much has changed since the last time, and "Jraah Mraah" has the same hobgoblin-like vocals and impish melodies that make every one of their albums a fairy tale for the ears, keeping with the oral tradition that is essential to the genre. There's one key difference though: the tale is no longer being told from the point of view of an omniscient narrator in your language, but directly by the gnomes, trolls and pixies themselves in theirs. Wonderfully enchanting as always.
