Nick Soudnick - Depot of Genius Delusions (Ultra)
New chapter in the series of soundtracks produced by Nick Soudnick for the Akhe theater group. Mechanized orchestral scores, ZGA-like bass plucks and percussive metal, mangled cello murmurs and countless other artifacts are used to construct this highly detailed and idiosyncratic work by one of the masters of the Russian experimental scene.

Niellerade Fallibilisthorstar - Hålrum (SNSE)
Stunning cinematic ambient from Sweden with a live instrumental edge to it. The label's description is definitely accurate, so there's little point in not using it: "Hålrum is the noise of rusted ghost armies. It is the sound of decayed and poisoned winds as they howl through forgotten chemical factories. It is aural dread". This is a CD rerelease of the LP version with 6 extra minutes.
(CD, clear jewel case, textured sleeve paper, out of stock)
Niellerade Fallibilisthorstar - Skrankverk (Dystonia EK)
New album from this Swedish band whose previous one was released on SNSE. Clanging, scraping and squeaking metal resonates over the hum of flooded machine rooms and the gas bursts from rusting pneumatic tubes. This is the sound of toiling poltergeists, endlessly repeating the rituals of an industrial wasteland's cargo cult.

Nikita Golyshev - Solaris (Monochrome Vision)
Debut CD album from Nikita Golyshev, a Moscow artist also known for his many mp3 releases as CD-R. "Solaris" comes in the shape of two long deep ambient pieces with perpetually expanding drones and minimal melodic tones. These tracks were partially presented at the Add Noise II festival on May 15th, 2007.

Nimh - lanna Memories (Taalem)
Label info: "Nimh is Giuseppe Verticchio, an italian composer who has self-released a bunch of CD-Rs since 1999. Here at taâlem, we've immediately fallen in love with his music at the first listening. Using exclusively traditional Thai instruments for this release, Nimh creates an incredibly rich music, full of haunting percussions and trumpets, background sounds, harmonic frequencies, effects and noises present in the recording. His best work ever and truly a masterpiece for the dark ritual ambient music lovers."

Nimh - Subterranean Thoughts (Silentes)
Label info: "About one year after the release of "The Impossible Days", Nimh (Giuseppe Verticchio) explores the innermost paths of electronic experimentation again with his new "Subterranean Thoughts". The album showcases a kaleidoscope of many different sounds, from the lysergic visions of "Rewind" to the cinematic suggestions of "Recovered Memories", from the tight and dark atmospheres of "Back to Laudomia" to the ritual elements of "Perpetual Cycles", from the rhythmic distortions of "Subterranean Thoughts" to the hypnotic stasis of "The Liquid Dream" and the lyrism of the title-track reprise at the end of the disc."

Nimh & Maurizio Bianchi - Secluded Truths (Silentes)
Label info: "Obscure atmospheres and industrial influences in this second audible amalgam between M.B. (Maurizio Bianchi) and NIMH (Giuseppe Verticchio). Endocrine insulation for diagnostic firabilities."

Nimh / Nefelheim - Whispers From The Ashes (Weird Amplexus)
Label info: "Ideally inspired by the Inquisition era, like some titles of the tracks may suggest, "Whispers from the Ashes" presents Nimh (Giuseppe Verticchio) and Nefelheim joined together for the production of a dark oriented CD that alternates obscure and haunting atmospheres with more gloomy and sometimes dramatic and highly evocative episodes... In a blend of low frequencies, metallic sounds, echoes of distant voices and human screams, whispers, concrete noises, ritual processions, suddenly an acoustic guitar chord, some reverberate piano notes, the sound of falling rain, bits of thundering percussions emerge... Like in a disquieting voyage to a far away past, in a stakes and witches age, featuring persecutions of heretics and superstition... A wonderful trip in vein of Raison D'Etre and Cold Meat Industry sounds."

Ninth Desert - Black Session (Taalem)
Label info: "Black session was created with two generations of sound material : sequences recorded between 1997 and 1999 by Exotoendo (archived, never used or re-treated) and sources created between July and September 2005 by ninth desert.
This sound clash was organized on a principle of tape speed of the chosen sequences, their stretching in time or their dissection.
The confrontation of these extraneous sequences questions the time between the previously distant periods and, without filling it, suggests injecting a past sound material to the present. [...]
The ninth desert project was created in september 2005 by cyril henry (Exotoendo founding member 1996-1999 and Lecanora) and basically works on the sound perceived as mental and temporal medium - a material subjected to infinite combinations and potentially never-ending transformation."
