Svasti-Ayanam - Sanklesa (Eternal Pride)

Label info: "Svasti-ayanam is Peter Andersson's foray into dark, Tibetan-Nepalese ambience. Andersson is well known for his work as Raison D'etre, Atomine Elektrine etc. In this incarnation, his signature Raison D'etre sound has been modified in an incredibly pronounced, and effective way. Sanklesa is marked by strong tribal rhythms that draw the listener into distant, foreign, ritual soundscapes. Andersson has released a prolific catalogue of music, that includes many CD's, limited vinyl and countless compilation appearances. Album includes 2 exclusive bonus-tracks."

Cisfinitum - Coniunctio (Ewers Tonkunst)

2CD set that brings together remastered material from the hard-to-find "Landschaft" CDR (including the tragically beautiful "District Delta") and "Malgyl", which was only available in mp3 format through the Entity netlabel. The tracks range from mournful synthesizer dirges to low-end heavy mechanical drones, all with that particular Cisfinitum touch. Please note that copies of this release suffer from a minor production flaw (there's a small crease on the cardboard cover).

Shinjuku Thief - Sacred Fury (Fin de Siècle Media)

Label info: "Darrin Verhagen on his latest release re-embraces all the dramatic theatricality his Shinjuku Thief project is best known for.
Hovering midway between gothic orchestral horror and contemporary cinematic narrative, "Sacred Fury" presents us with a score from the midst of judgment. Reflective cinematic odes are strafed by brutal sound design, whilst elsewhere, bombastic homages to In Slaughter Natives pound out a march to the apocalypse in 31 beats.
This is the quintessential soundtrack for when all your best military plans turn to shit in your hands, and each new oncoming palletload of reason, ideology and faith seems more combustible than the last."

Caesar Romero - The Grotesque Burlesque Revue (Fin de Siècle Media)

This 3" gathers selections from the soundtrack to the Grotesque Burlesque Revue, a deviant theatre show by the Dragon Ladies performance art company. The full press release on Fin de Siècle Media's site should be read for a more in-depth summary of this piece's history, but even without that knowledge this collection of creepy sea-shanties, nursery rhymes and warped, fairy-tale carnival music can be enjoyed by anyone with a pronounced taste for the bizarre.

(3" CD, to be restocked soon)

SRMeixner - The Dictatorship of The Viewer (Fin de Siècle Media)

SRMeixner is the new self-named solo project of Stephen Meixner, half of the now defunct Contrastate. This second full-length release under this name could be succinctly described as thoughtfully composed experimental music and the logical continuation from where Contrastate left off.
Written for the 2003 Venice Biennale, the 18 sub-sections presented here form one flowing piece which was initially composed and structured as a live performance. That, however, shouldn't stop you from imposing your own permutation on the tracklist as the title suggests, creating a new configuration that toys with the relationship between the way information is ordered and its resulting perception.

Franco Micalizzi - Adolescenza Perversa (Fin de Siècle Media)

Label info: "World premiere release of this fantastic soundtrack to the obscure erotic drama from 1974, starring Femi Benussi, Malisa Longo and Dagmar Lassander. Franco Micalizzi delivers a number of beautiful and catchy themes which can easily compete with Ennio Morricone's best moments, and together with Edda Dell'Orso's occasional wordless vocals it's a winning combination. Presented in a 4-page digipak with original artwork and liner notes by John Mansell."

Franco Micalizzi - Superuomini Superdonne Superbotte (Fin de Siècle Media)

Label info: "Franco Micalizzi was born in Rome 21 December 1939. After composing a few soundtracks in the end of the sixties, he gained success in 1970 with the music for "Lo chiamavano Trinita'..." (My Name Is Trinity). During the seventies, he became one of the most prolific composers of Italian film music, scoring cult classics like "Roma a mano armata" (Rome Armed to the Teeth), "Napoli violenta" (Violent Naples) and "Chi Sei?" (Beyond the Door)."
"The score for SUPERUOMINI SUPERDONNE SUPERBOTTE has never been released before in any form, making this CD the world premiere! The untitled cues have been carefully restored from the stereo master tapes, except the bonus tracks which could only be found on a mono source with inferior sound quality. Some of the shortest and most recurring themes have been merged together to further enhance the listening experience."
