Forma4 - Cycle (DTA Records)
2002 release on the now defunct DTA Records label. Forma4 is Vladimir Dronov, and "Cycle" combines uneasy atmospheres, drowsy drones and subtle rhythm programming to create something not too dissimilar from some early Reutoff material.

Niellerade Fallibilisthorstar - Skrankverk (Dystonia EK)
New album from this Swedish band whose previous one was released on SNSE. Clanging, scraping and squeaking metal resonates over the hum of flooded machine rooms and the gas bursts from rusting pneumatic tubes. This is the sound of toiling poltergeists, endlessly repeating the rituals of an industrial wasteland's cargo cult.

Originally planned to be released a few years ago as "Cherries for the Golden Skull", this album has finally surfaced through the efforts of Israeli label The Eastern Front. As before, The band is singer Vera Agnivolok, Igor Krutogolov and Vadim Gusis (Chaos as Shelter), and "Cherries" further explores their combination of mournful folk music with uneasy ambient passages.

Second release from this Slovakian project, showcasing 7 tracks of bombastic orchestrations, martial atmospheres and industrial loops. While heavily influenced by a number of CMI acts (the Protagonist in particular) and not particularly distinguishable from its peers in this field, the album is rather well executed and efficient at what it sets out to achieve.

Reminiscent of a much more luminous version of Endura during the more ambient pieces, with the esoteric aspects of Freemasonry replacing Lovecraftian lore as the aesthetic foundation.

Rrupt - Traverser (Egone)
Stunning ethno-industrial from this obscure and sadly overlooked French project. Inspired by Lionel Tran's novel "Traverser du Désert" and involving a number of other artistic contributions such as the calligraphy of Thomas Foucher and the photography of Jean-Marie Arnouil, "Traverser" is a beautifully presented journey across a scorched desert where daytime mirages cede only to the night's icy winds.
