Agnivolok - Cherries (Eastern Front)
Originally planned to be released a few years ago as "Cherries for the Golden Skull", this album has finally surfaced through the efforts of Israeli label The Eastern Front. As before, The band is singer Vera Agnivolok, Igor Krutogolov and Vadim Gusis (Chaos as Shelter), and "Cherries" further explores their combination of mournful folk music with uneasy ambient passages.

Aidan Baker - The Sea Swells A Bit... (A Silent Place)
New 2006 release from Canadian guitar dronemonger Aidan Baker, with this effort being of the more melodic variety of his works. 3 long tracks of ebbing, swelling and crashing sound waves obtained through treated guitars, bass, drum machines and percussion. Hypnotic and soothing like the sea which sets the theme here ("When Sailors Die", "Davy Jones' Locker").

Alio Die - Suspended Feathers (Silentes)
Label info: "Silentes presents another great reissue. Suspended Feathers is one of the best well-known works by Alio Die, published originally in 1996 in a limited edition of 1000 copies in a special package by AQUA/AMPLEXUS and sold out for years. [...] The 5 tracks include one long track originally composed for the "mythical" Amplexus series, one track composed together with Gregorio Bardini nd one track composed with Vidna Obmana. Amon - Nona (Weird Amplexus)
One 21-min track from Amon, the cinematic dark ambient project headed by Andrea Marutti, of Afe Records fame. As always the occult Egyptian themes aren't too far away, as this EP is inspired by the Rosemary case of the early 1930's. During those seances, a British woman allegedly spoke in ancient Egyptian and claimed to be "Nona", or "The One Without a Name", the consort of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III (ancient spirits just love these multiple nicknames). Going back to the music, this track could be thought of as an appropriate soundtrack to those candle-lit seances of yore where every kick in the table was obviously a sign of otherworldly communication.
