Le Dépeupleur (Zbigniew Karkowski / Kaspar T. Toeplitz) - Disambiguation (Auf Abwegen)

Label info: " 'Disambiguation' is the third CD from the duo of Zbigniew Karkowski and Kaspar T. Toeplitz. It features one ongoing stream of grey, heavy and disturbing noises. It contains blocks of solid and almost material sounds, causing a physicality and urgency to the "music" which is rare to find these days."

Le Forbici Di Manitu - Terrore Nello Spazio (Small Voices)

Label info: "One of the most enigmatic, eclectic and cosmopolitan bands of the Italian electronic scene returns with a singular sonorization - originally commissioned by the sci-fi festival Invasioni and performed live in Cosenza in Summer 2001 - paying a tribute to the cult movie Terrore nello spazio (1965, a.k.a. Planet of the Vampires and The Demon Planet) by Mario Bava, the undisputed and unforgotten Maestro of Italian gothic and macabre cinema.
Based freely on the story (later plagiarized by Ridley Scott’s Alien) of the spaceships Argot and Galliot, attracted to land on a dying planet by ectoplasmic alien-vampires that in order to escape to other worlds need to take possession of the body of astronauts turning them into living zombies, Le Forbici di Manitù have created a sharp-witted hybrid of B-movies retro-fascinations and stylized genre contaminations, by mixing samplers and analogic electronics with an instrumentation hinting at jazz (flute, clarinet, congas, vibraphone) and disseminating the score with surreal cut-ups of dialogues from vintage films [...], to permeate it with a mid-Sixties mood."

Lietterschpich - I Cum Blood In The Think Tank (Topheth Prophet)

Label info: "The eight-piece group of Lietterschpich (Hebrew for liter of cum) has been boiling down foul language, obscene noise, primitive rituals and perplexing visual propaganda to their core since 2004. Comprised of local veterans of the Israeli post-punk, industrial and electronica scenes, they quickly gained cult status in the Israeli underground. They've released "Quasi" A 3" black cdr in 2005, before calling it a night and taking a year break. They will be back soon to antagonize the cultivated majority that got away last time."

Luasa Raelon - Consumed Within The Years Of Lead (PACrec)

Twitchy, dark and twisted industrial ambient by David Reed, head of the Snip Snip label. Thoroughly consistent and well-produced.

(CD, cardoard sleeve, out of stock)

Luasa Raelon - Season of the Witch (Snip-Snip)

Monumental synth doom from Ohio's Luasa Raelon, headed by David Reed of Snip-Snip Records. While a number of past Luasa Raelon releases had noisier industrial leanings to them, these 5 tracks of lush and sinister ambient are closer to his work as Envenomist. Most definitely recommended.

(CD, clear jewel case, to be restocked soon)

Luciano Michelini - L'Isola Degli Uomini Pesce (Fin de Siècle Media)

Label info: "Luciano Michelini's action packed score for this Italian sci-fi adventure directed by Sergio Martino. It is a fusion of styles, which include highly dramatic material, romantically laced cues and pieces which by their sound and construction are obviously from the school of Italian film music. Previously released on LP by the prestigious label Cometa and now restored and presented for the first time ever on CD in a 6-page digipak with original artwork, film stills and liner notes by John Mansell!"
