Nimh - Subterranean Thoughts (Silentes)
Label info: "About one year after the release of "The Impossible Days", Nimh (Giuseppe Verticchio) explores the innermost paths of electronic experimentation again with his new "Subterranean Thoughts". The album showcases a kaleidoscope of many different sounds, from the lysergic visions of "Rewind" to the cinematic suggestions of "Recovered Memories", from the tight and dark atmospheres of "Back to Laudomia" to the ritual elements of "Perpetual Cycles", from the rhythmic distortions of "Subterranean Thoughts" to the hypnotic stasis of "The Liquid Dream" and the lyrism of the title-track reprise at the end of the disc."

Nimh & Maurizio Bianchi - Secluded Truths (Silentes)
Label info: "Obscure atmospheres and industrial influences in this second audible amalgam between M.B. (Maurizio Bianchi) and NIMH (Giuseppe Verticchio). Endocrine insulation for diagnostic firabilities."

Nimh / Nefelheim - Whispers From The Ashes (Weird Amplexus)
Label info: "Ideally inspired by the Inquisition era, like some titles of the tracks may suggest, "Whispers from the Ashes" presents Nimh (Giuseppe Verticchio) and Nefelheim joined together for the production of a dark oriented CD that alternates obscure and haunting atmospheres with more gloomy and sometimes dramatic and highly evocative episodes... In a blend of low frequencies, metallic sounds, echoes of distant voices and human screams, whispers, concrete noises, ritual processions, suddenly an acoustic guitar chord, some reverberate piano notes, the sound of falling rain, bits of thundering percussions emerge... Like in a disquieting voyage to a far away past, in a stakes and witches age, featuring persecutions of heretics and superstition... A wonderful trip in vein of Raison D'Etre and Cold Meat sounds."

Nordvargr - Helvete (Eternal Pride)
Label info: "The newest creation from Villa Bohult, the Nordvargr family burial vault. This time the "cursed poet" Wrest from the USBM Leviathan Cult and Drakhon (Beyond Sensory Experience, MZ.412) have joined the night sessions of the never sleeping Swedish zombie.
It would be totally insane to be waiting for something life-asserting, light and positive from the three of them. "Helvete" is just the overwhelming Darkness and the ice-cold all-filling Terror. Meditative and sinister Dark Ambient rhythms are filled with the ominous whisper of Wrest and Drakh. Deep and lengthy drones as well as the charming atmosphere of the Swedish industrial decadence.
At the end of this trip all of those nostalgic for the times of the "Burning The Temple Of God" MZ.412 will be fully rewarded for all the years of waiting..."

November Növelet - Magic (Galakthorrö)
Label info: "This magically-charged jewel of electronic music consists of twelve new songs. The analogue foundation combines with electric vibraphone and 8-bit surrealism transformed into sound. Melancholic synthesizer melodies and the ethereal voice of Mrs. Arafna melt into a fragile beauty with emotional depth. Unpretentious and lost, a gripping experience.
In spite of all this exploration of the depths, there is also the opportunity to roll up the carpet. Mr. and Mrs. Arafna have conjured up a few dance hits, which because of their minimalism and cultured morbid charm, should kick off the party mood for the creatures of the night. These contrast well with the slow pieces – tinged with a breath of experimentation, resulting in a many-faceted, and at the same time very balanced, Angst Pop album. The long time in waiting for the release of this new record will soon be forgotten in sheer listening pleasure."

Novy Svet / O Paradis - Destello de Estrellas en la Frente (Punch Records)
Beautiful follow-up to their collaboration CD released in 2003, with the same combination of acoustic Mediterranean folk music and electronic psychedelia that made it a success.

O Paradis - La Boca Del Infernio (Punch Records)
"Hell's Mouth" stares at you on the cover of this new release from O Paradis, and the 10 tracks are a suitably infernal mix of seductive beauty and blackened ugliness. The gentle Mediterranean guitars are present as before, but dirtied by plaintive looped noises and a taste for the dissonant. Quite likely the most experimental work by O Paradis so far, one on which he bares himself in more ways than one.

O Paradis - Cuando el Tiempo Sopla (Punch Records)
A new album's worth of beautiful and melancholic tunes from Barcelona's O Paradis. The tone is sorrowful and nostalgic, with the passing of time serving as a constant theme throughout the album (I don't think I'm imagining those tick-tocking rhythms). Definitely a step away from the more upbeat collaborations with Novy Svet and even more unusual in some ways than "La Boca del Infierno" ("Desnuda" will certainly mess with you), this is another excellent release from O Paradis that's rightfully been released by Punch Records.
(CD, clear jewel case, out of stock)
