Dissecting Table - Groping in the Dark (UPD)
Thirteenth release from Hiroshima's best. This one prominently features layers of guitars and the electronic noise is less present than elsewhere, so it could possibly be viewed as a more accessible release to the uninitiated "metal-friendly" ear. Make no mistake though, this is Dissecting Table and what we have here is brutal, almost exhausting digital death metal with hyperkinetic explosions replacing what usually passes for rhythms.
(CD, jewel case, $13.00)

Dissecting Table - El Dorado Of Asvabhava (UPD)
A sort of best-of selection of tracks from the recent 2005-2006 CD-R releases, including picks from "Zettaizetsumei", "Day of Nemesis", "Non-Euclidean Geometry" and "Trial And Error". In-depth track notes and commentary by Stag Ejector of Mile 329. Limited to 100 copies (yes, this is a factory-pressed CD, not a CD-R).

Lustmord - Lustmord Rising (06.06.06) (Vaultworks)
Label info: "The Lustmord Album 25 Years In The Making. Lustmord: Rising was captured live at The Center for Inquiry, Los Angeles June 6, 2006, with no additional overdubs or production. The first Lustmord performance in 25 years, following an invitation from The Church of Satan to perform as live accompaniment to the church's first ever public Satanic High Mass, given in celebration of their 40th anniversary. The performance drew on material from various Lustmord albums, melded and blended into new combinations, as well as new material and improvisation."
(CD, jewel case, to be restocked soon)
Pine Tree State Mind Control - Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy (Voidstar)
Monotone down-pitched loops and fuzzy blasts of noise are the weapons of choice in this 55-minute attempt at brainwashing courtesy of PTS Motivation Concepts. While a few tracks gradually slip into semi-voluntary stagnation, there are enough high points to warrant a peek at these gentlemen's informational brochure.
(CD, clear jewel case, $5.00, on sale)

Contagious Orgasm - Flows Out (Waystyx)
Structured electro-beats, syncopating rhythms and fragile collages of cut-up sounds resonate with the added benefit of a crystal-clear production. Could be a companion release to "The Flow of Sound Without Parameter".

Debut CD release from this excellent Moscow project led by Evgeny Voronovsky. 4 long tracks of luminous and sophisticated field recordings, solar ambient and processed string instruments. (CD, gatefold sleeve with inserts, out of stock)
Bad Sector - Kosmodrom (Waystyx)
New full-length album dedicated to Soviet space exploration. This release sees Bad Sector incorporating minimal rhythms, samples of space station chatter and vintage Russian synthesizers into his signature sound. Consistent and impressive retro-futuristic material throughout the album. Comes with a 20-page full-color booklet.
(CD, transparent plastic box, out of stock)

Nimh / Nefelheim - Whispers From The Ashes (Weird Amplexus)
Label info: "Ideally inspired by the Inquisition era, like some titles of the tracks may suggest, "Whispers from the Ashes" presents Nimh (Giuseppe Verticchio) and Nefelheim joined together for the production of a dark oriented CD that alternates obscure and haunting atmospheres with more gloomy and sometimes dramatic and highly evocative episodes... In a blend of low frequencies, metallic sounds, echoes of distant voices and human screams, whispers, concrete noises, ritual processions, suddenly an acoustic guitar chord, some reverberate piano notes, the sound of falling rain, bits of thundering percussions emerge... Like in a disquieting voyage to a far away past, in a stakes and witches age, featuring persecutions of heretics and superstition... A wonderful trip in vein of Raison D'Etre and Cold Meat sounds."
