Neutralizing Force - Fusion (Mile 329)
First full-length release from Neutralizing Force, whose arsenal includes metal percussion and finely crafted melodic content. As the original description aptly said: "this is appropriate for fans of Marty Simon, Brad Fiedel, Chu Ishikawa, and the NES 2A03, although it exhibits a far broader appeal."

Nimh - lanna Memories (Taalem)
Label info: "Nimh is Giuseppe Verticchio, an italian composer who has self-released a bunch of CD-Rs since 1999. Here at taâlem, we've immediately fallen in love with his music at the first listening. Using exclusively traditional Thai instruments for this release, Nimh creates an incredibly rich music, full of haunting percussions and trumpets, background sounds, harmonic frequencies, effects and noises present in the recording. His best work ever and truly a masterpiece for the dark ritual ambient music lovers."
(3" printed CD-R, $6.50)

Ninth Desert - Black Session (Taalem)
Label info: "Black session was created with two generations of sound material : sequences recorded between 1997 and 1999 by Exotoendo (archived, never used or re-treated) and sources created between July and September 2005 by ninth desert.
This sound clash was organized on a principle of tape speed of the chosen sequences, their stretching in time or their dissection.
The confrontation of these extraneous sequences questions the time between the previously distant periods and, without filling it, suggests injecting a past sound material to the present. [...]
The ninth desert project was created in september 2005 by cyril henry (Exotoendo founding member 1996-1999 and Lecanora) and basically works on the sound perceived as mental and temporal medium - a material subjected to infinite combinations and potentially never-ending transformation."

Ogni Videniy - Skvozb Temnotu (Vetvei)
From the Northern Russian city of Arkhangelsk comes this fine addition to the growing roster of modern day shamans of the Vetvei label. Crystal shards, eerie synth drones, crackling fires, crickets, bells, the crashing waves of the White Sea are some of the things to experience here in these elemental atmospheres. Another solid release from Vetvei.

Overdose Kunst - Was ist Overdose Kunst (Zhelezobeton)
Label info: "The Japanese duet Overdose Kunst exists since 2001 and records a strange sort of music which they call "schizopoetry". Rejection of stylistic norms in the name of sound-craft freedom, deconstruction and irrational re-assemblage of musical material - that's what stands behind this term. This approach allows them to keep a child's purity and frankness in musical perception with the ability to send an emotional charge without using settled compositional forms. This disc includes the most song-like tracks of the band: crookedly recorded guitars, voices emotionally singing some nonsense in a mixture of several languages, and reversed melodies. Fine and lyrical post-rock from Japanese experimental underground."

Pholde - In The Subset of All Elements (Taalem)
Label info: "Pholde is the ambient side of Canadian Alan Bloor that the noise maniacs will probably know under his other alias, Knurl.
Absolutely no noise here, just beautiful deep and scrapey metallic drones, sometimes even melodic, full of details... Those who loved the Lecanora 3" we released before (see alm 4) shouldn't miss this one, they won't be disappointed..."
(3" printed CD-R, to be restocked soon)
Poochlatz - Cold Turkey (BlackGapDeathTrap Records)
Poochlatz is the doom-noise-drone project of Israeli noiseniks Rani Zager (Vultures, Lietterschpich) and Maor Appelbaum (Screening, Vultures, and a number of releases under his own name). With one full-length CD under their belts, they're back with this live recording of their more doom metal influenced material. This is definitely a nice companion release to the Lietterschpich CD, as it share some of the same rough howled vocals but with a more sedated doom influence added to the whole thing.
