Dronaement - Fuer Mur (Taalem)

Label info: "Dronæment should need no introduction as he has now gained a strong reputation in the ambient world thanks to some releases on various labels like Drone Records, Dachstuhl (Tarkatak's home), Afe or Mystery Sea (yes, again !). Marcus presents here two melancholic and nostalgic tracks, the first with softer sounds, based on the wonderful "Für Alina" by Arvo Pärt, the second (an older piece found on a long-lost tape) with some more aggressive sounds, full of analog synths. Two sides of Dronæment's beautiful music…"

Tarkatak - Eschgl Hel (Taalem)

Label info: "After many cd-r's (on various labels like Blade Records, Prion or Staalaplaat's sublabel Bake Records), even tapes in his first days and some 7"s (including one on Drone Records), Tarkatak offers with this 22min track a perfect example of his beautiful sound: droney dark ambient, slowly evolving with low rumblings, natural sounds and many details in the background... His past works have often been compared to some Zoviet France works or Andrew Chalk; we couldn't agree more."

Désaccord Majeur - La Neuvième Heure (Taalem)

Label info: "[...] Just like Internal Fusion, Désaccord Majeur creates long haunting ambient tracks with of course an ethnic and ritual touch... Less dark maybe, his music sometimes includes some more electronic sounds that could remind some em:t releases (Woob especially). Pure clear ritual ethno-ambient music."

Kristian Olsson - Laudanum (Taalem)

Label info: "Kristian Olsson is a Swedish artist, once half of Heid (releases on Bastet, Malignant and Cold Meat Industry). He's now known under the Survival Unit moniker, regularly releasing his aggressive power electronics on various labels.
With this 3", Kristian gets back to his death-ambient roots with a fantastic 20min long track full of frightening samples, metallic percussions and cold atmospheres..."

Pholde - In The Subset of All Elements (Taalem)

Label info: "Pholde is the ambient side of Canadian Alan Bloor that the noise maniacs will probably know under his other alias, Knurl.
Absolutely no noise here, just beautiful deep and scrapey metallic drones, sometimes even melodic, full of details... Those who loved the Lecanora 3" we released before (see alm 4) shouldn't miss this one, they won't be disappointed..."

Maurizio Bianchi - Bactérie (Taalem)

Label info: "the Italian industrial legend, Maurizio Bianchi, is back. More prolific than ever, he proposes here a 24min track which should put the listener in a trance-like state... Rather ambient and evolutive construction with venomous and penetrating sounds.[...]"

Ninth Desert - Black Session (Taalem)

Label info: "Black session was created with two generations of sound material : sequences recorded between 1997 and 1999 by Exotoendo (archived, never used or re-treated) and sources created between July and September 2005 by ninth desert.
This sound clash was organized on a principle of tape speed of the chosen sequences, their stretching in time or their dissection.
The confrontation of these extraneous sequences questions the time between the previously distant periods and, without filling it, suggests injecting a past sound material to the present. [...]
The ninth desert project was created in september 2005 by cyril henry (Exotoendo founding member 1996-1999 and Lecanora) and basically works on the sound perceived as mental and temporal medium - a material subjected to infinite combinations and potentially never-ending transformation."

Klood - Negation (Taalem)

Label info: "Klood is a french one-man project sometimes compared to early Ultra Milkmaids (he contributed to their "Mort Aux Vaches" CD) or Maeror Tri. The tracks on his first 3" (after several releases on various labels such as Drone Records, Blade or EE-Tapes) shows two different sides of his apparently simple but highly evocative and emotional ambient music. First track is the bright one (who could even remind Angelo Badalementi's "Twin Peaks" soundtrack) while the second one is darker, slow and sinister..."

Yannick Dauby - Chant de Dune (Taalem)

"sounding sands are found in many places in the whole world. this rare natural phenomenon, is represented most of the time by beaches, whose sand is squeaking when it is struck or pushed. however, in some deserts, we meet some large dunes which have a more astonishing activity. sand avalanches, mostly provoked by the wind, create very deep sounds, extremely powerful, accompanied by tremors and lasting for several minutes. unexplained, these songs from the desert are depicted like roars, voices from supernatural beings or the rumbling of the thunder."
