Bad Sector / Contagious Orgasm - Vacuum Pulse (Old Europa Cafe)
One of the most recommended collaboration records in the post-industrial field, and rightfully so. 4 tracks where each project alternatively provides the raw sounds which are shaped by the other.

Band of Pain - Qué Amiga? (Cold Spring)
Cinematic ambient with a balance of synthetic and acoustic instruments from this UK project and label-head of Dirter Promotions. Not too dissimilar to some Contrastate works at times.

Black To Comm - Rückwärts Backwards (Dekorder)
Black to Comm is the sound project headed by March Richter, head of German label Dekorder. His debut album relies mostly on processed shellac and vinyl loops, field recordings and assorted instruments (gamelan, organs, guitars, pianos among others) to forge 8 tracks of surreal ambience and crackling grooves. The carefully constructed arrangements make this more than just a patchwork of random sounds and the pieces even have a somewhat bittersweet and emotional quality to them. Last but not least, the tracks linger just long enough to leave an impression without wearing out their welcome.

Brutum Fulmen - Flesh Of The Moon (Crippled Intellect Productions)
First full-length CD from Brutum Fulmen, Jeff Wrench's main experimental sound project. While there is no shortage of sound artists who rely on field recordings for their material and delve into the often dessicated fields of musique concrète, few that I'm aware of have managed to turn them into such lush electro-acoustic compositions that actually warrant repeated listenings. The 10 tracks gathered here are carefully crafted from the sounds of old manual typewriters, hinges, metal, feedback, and other common and uncommon objects, and the booklet provides an extensive list of these sources which is always interesting to read as you listen to the end result. Consistently captivating.

Cloama - Cloama (New Old Sentinel)
High-end abstract industrial ambient with some occasional melodic touches. This album has a strong haunting characteristic to it, as if these were plaintive cries emanating from corroded machines that should no longer be able to produce them. The extremely lush sound production deserves a mention as well, giving the record an oxygenated, organic feel that is rare for the genre.

Cloama & Blutleuchte - From Wasteland Mausoleums (New Old Sentinel)
Stunning collaboration release between those two Finnish projects. Cloama's lurch towards more experimental sounds from its power electronics / noise beginnings is further emphasized by Die Blutleuchte's contributions, and this release effortlessly shifts from post-apocalyptic mantras to doom jazz dirges, with distorted guitar melodies and bleak atmospheres thrown in between. Scrapyard shamanism at its best. On a side-note, be sure to also look into Die Blutleuchte's "Rus", a sonic overview of Russian military history.
(CD, clear jewel case with UV-coated 8-page booklet, $15.50)

Contagious Orgasm - Flows Out (Waystyx)
Structured electro-beats, syncopating rhythms and fragile collages of cut-up sounds resonate with the added benefit of a crystal-clear production. Could be a companion release to "The Flow of Sound Without Parameter".
