Naked Intruder - Iteration III (Mile 329)
The much-delayed third full-length release from Naked Intruder is finally out, and it delivers the goods. And what goods indeed: 8-bit melodies, metal percussions and atonal piano and organ passages fuse into an album of industrial circus music meets 1980s action movie soundtrack. Challenging and rewarding at the same time, this iteration is not a mere repetition but a reaffirmation of a world where creepy clowns, armored bank robbers and cubic insects evolve. The Yars will have their revenge.

Navicon Torture Technologies - Dripping with the Power of her Flesh (Immanence)
Label info: "A seminal work of unbridled brutality and passion, ::DWTPOHF:: picks up the tattered remains of emotion left by NTT's previous opus, The Church of Dead Girls, and forges them into an embittered concretion of the darkest byways of the heart, mind and soul."

Nick Soudnick - Akhe Music Vol. 5 Faust ³ (Ultra)
Produced as the soundtrack for the theatre performance of "Faust³" by Akhe, this work by Nick Soundnick seems him welding the industrial clamor of Vetrophonia to avant-garde classical music. Actual string and bass instruments are accompanied by metallic percussion and discreet electronic effects for a majestic result with a masterful sense of tension and release, with tracks ranging from high-cadence orchestrations to more restrained and atmospheric passages. Leagues above whatever similar attempts at this exercise have been made in the industrial scene.

Shinjuku Thief - The Scribbler (Cold Spring)
Label info: "Reissue of the 1992 classic by this Australian genius, originally released in an edition of 500 copies. Occasional bursts of factory noise, industrial rumblings and disembodied German voices form the backdrop to a minimalist reworking of Kafka's "The Trial." An album of dense filmic atmospheres and orchestral instrumentation. 'The Scribbler' has been digitally remastered and is enhanced with a series of video clips constructed by Richard Grant (I+T=R), incorporating both new material together with the original images prepared for "The Scribbler" live show."

Uthana-Eise - g.d.g.r. (Halbwelt)
Debut release from this obscure German death industrial / power electronics unit. Plodding machine rhythms, buzzing electronic tones and a rather subdued vocal approach. Somewhat close to some of the less sample-heavy Objekt/Urian tracks.
