Hilter - Sexfilms (Ars Benevola Mater)
With titles such as "Sushi Slut Sisters" and "Analdildo", you'd expect some sort of OTT power electronics, but "Sexfilms" is all about crude bass drones, cut-up VHS porn samples (complete with tape hiss) and occasional outbursts of noise.

Linija Mass - Industrealism (ALF Produkt)
Mini-album composed of two tracks from 2001 and one from 2007. This is some of the most rhythmical and loop-based material released by Linija Mass, mechanical grinding and the restrained hum of machinery replacing the maelstrom of factory noise present on earlier releases. A different direction approached with the project's consistent stakhanovist efficiency.

Box set that brings together re-releases of the Trud tape, the Proletkult LP on Membrum Debile Propaganda and the Mechano-Faktura CD-R along with a fourth disk of previously unreleased material. A monument of essential Russian industrial.

Lvnvs - Lvnvs (Old Europa Cafe)
Rumbling old-school industrial from members of Italian projects Teatro Satanico and DSIP. This CD-R gathers a selection from two tape releases put out in 1993 and 1996 on OEC. Some of it has a certain vibe not too dissimilar from Le Syndicat. Pro-printed CD-R + booklet + inlay.

Maurizio Bianchi - Neuro Habitat (Abgurd)
Re-release of the 1998 EEs'T Records CD, which itself was a re-release of the 1982 LP of the same name with an extra track that was on the "Für Ilse Koch" compilation on Susan Lawly. Old-school MB at his best.

Militia - Everything is One (Tactical Recordings)
2005 release from this eco-anarchist percussive unit, released 5 years after "The Black Flag Hoisted". This time round the tracks include an arsenal of instruments aside from the signature percussions, namely violins, accordions, horns and clarinets played by guest musicians. These additions and the "full" production make for somewhat denser arrangements than what Militia is known for, but it's all good and brings to mind "Pax Britannica"-era Test Dept. Not to be missed.

PPF / I-C-K - Individualistes / Collectivistes (Steelwork Maschine)
Collaboration release between these two french projects, resulting in a 12" of old-school industrial with shuffling drum machine beats, buzzing analog synthesizers and heavily processed vocals. Side A features two tracks from PPF and four from I-C-K, while side B showcases the collaborative tracks between the two projects.

Peenemünde - Peenemünde (Obscurex)
Named after the army research facility where the V-2 rocket was born under the supervision of Wernher Von Braun, Peenemünde is a grimy industrial noise collaboration between Pentti Dassum & Pekka PT (Sick Seed and Gelsomina). Crumbling steel, metallic howls and incinerator blasts that will soothe Linija Mass and Vetrophonia devotees.

Ritualnaya Bioingeneria is Lunar Abyss Deus Organum dragged from the forest and forced into industrial labor. With its combination of busy factory sounds, bursts of radio noise and snippets of Soviet-era gramophone recordings, "Poluraspad" is definitely at home on Alexander Lebedev-Frontov's label. Stalnoy Pakt - Russia's Awakening (ALF Produkt)
First full-length CD from Alexander Lebedev-Frontov's other main project. While Linija Mass takes its aesthetic inspirations from Futurism and Soviet socialist realism, here the focus is shifted to militarism and nationalism, possibly in a manner related to the kind that is re-surfacing in Russia these days.
The sound is closer to ambient / martial industrial, but whereas most Western European projects in this field aim to infuse themselves with a sense of often overblown heroic bombast, Stalnoy Pakt's take on the genre turns marches into dehumanized machine-like processions and hymns into oppressive drones. Utterly bleak and captivating.
