It took over 10 months for this compilation to take shape, but the manner in which the tracks came together as one complete and coherent whole suggests that this slow process of selection and juxtaposition was worth its time. From the opening metallic chimes of Rudra Vena to the mangled drones and suffocating steam of Inoculation, the common thread throughout the disc lies in one simple idea: atmosphere. Whetever it's in the form of slow, scraping noise or tense and rather solemn collages, there's always this willingness to create an audio environment for the listener to wander around in, gaze at or simply submit to while it lasts. Prime headphone material for those late-night sessions.
