Bastard Noise / Igor Krutogolov / Chaos as Shelter - The Geometry of Soul (Topheth Prophet)

An unusual lesson in spiritual mathematics, bringing together the particularities of all three projects in a demanding yet rewarding experience of ritualistic music. Repeated mantras, robotic drones, resonating bells and blasts of controlled noise are used skillfully throughout the 5 tracks of this release.

Chaos as Shelter - Dead Air Broadcasts (DTA Records)

One of the early releases by this Israeli dark ambient act. Relying on processed and sampled radio sounds as the basis for most of the tracks, "Dead Air Broadcasts" shows much more depth once you familiarize yourself with it. Might definitely appeal to Kryptogen Rundfunk fans.

Chaos as Shelter - Dawn Syndrome (Topheth Prophet)

Label info: "Recorded in 2001 and dedicated to the end of Kali Yuga, the age of iron, which is the final and most negative of four evolutionary Yugic cycles, the end of the world, and the dawn of a new golden age - Sataya Yuga (the age of purity). Dawn Syndrome is an eight-track composition of ritual dark ambient crafted in the skillful way Chaos as Shelter is known for. [...] Dawn Syndrome was recorded at new jerusalem studios and Chaos As Shelter was supported by Vera Agnivolok , Helena Dorsht and an accidentally obtained presto home recorded vinyl disc."

Chaos As Shelter - Message (Taalem)

Label info: "[...] For this 3", Vadim has worked from a spy message he had captured on his shortwave radio. The always evolving 20mn track he has composed is simply fascinating and obsessive. At the first listening you're hooked!"

Chaos as Shelter - Live in New Jerusalem (Solipsism / Self Abuse)

Label info: "Two live tracks of beautiful dark ambient sounds from Israel. Over an hours worth of music, the first track was recorded in December of 2000 at New Jerusalem Studios, the Second is from August of 2000, and was recorded live at the Abama Theatre, in Jerusalem. Mixing drifting, dark ambient electronics with subtle rhythms and ethnic sounds, Chaos as Shelter are one of the more interesting new projects from the last couple of years, and his live work adds another layer to his already complex sound. Haunting, and meditative, this is music that evokes a world of it's own."
