Thematically and sonically centered around frogs and their environment, this release results from a collaboration with singer Victoria Hanna and also features contributions from Israeli artists Vadim Gusis (Chaos as Shelter) and Igor Krutogolov (Igor18). The album is a pleasant, new-age tinged stroll through the world of our croaking fellows. Co-released with Auris Media.

Igor Krutogolov - Wardrobe (Auris Media)
If you've heard Igor Krutogolov's solo track on the "Tel Aviv Aftermath" compilation, you might be somewhat prepared to hear what this release has to offer: a strange soundtrack to an unpublished film by Yamamoto Hiromi & Takayuki Iwasawa. This is strange avant-garde material without the academic posturing. A crystal-clear recording of murmured voices, bizarre vocals, acoustic guitars, bells, creaking doors, cello and who knows what else. You might not listen to it on a regular basis, but it will still in your mind.

Igor Krutogolov - White (Topheth Prophet / Auris Media)
Label info: "'White' is a new solo release from Igor Krutogolov and was conceived as a single conceptual work sub-divided into seven parts. The overall approach combines elements of neo-classical composition, electro-acoustic ambient and minimalism. Igor Krutogolov's Karate Band - Children 4 Muzik (Auris Media)
New band that brings together 11 musicians (including the whole Kruzenshtern & Parohod roster) and an arsenal of toys as the sole instruments, resulting in some beautifully noisy and playful racket. From tango to black metal (that track alone is worth the admission price), the variety of styles covered in the 7 tracks is even more impressive considering the nature of the instruments, and the skilled musicianship pushes this beyond mere gimmickry. Excellent stuff. The CD contains two videos and photos from live performances at the Green Raccoon in Tel-Aviv.

Kruzenshtern & Parohod - Songs (Auris Media)
Second release from this band fronted by Igor Krutogolov, known for his many collaborations and solo projects in the Israeli experimental scene. This is energetic, rich and playful music that combines elements of Klezmer, Jazz, experimental (lots of toy noises) and even hardcore. The colorful and refined artwork perfectly suits the music.

First release from this highly eclectic Israeli band that deliver a joyful combination of Jazz, Klezmer, Hardcore and cartoon sound effects. Somewhere between Zorn and Bugs Bunny at times, and solid material throughout the album.
